I’d call this one “extreme farming.” At first glance, it looks more like a fantasy painting than a photograph, but it’s the real thing, taken in the Italian Dolomites. Go here for more of k. kunstadt’s photos from the area.

Dizzifying!
I’d love to stand on that edge and just look out! Makes one dream!
I’m trying to work out what is being grown. I would hate to drive a tractor any where near the edge!
It kind of reminds me of what is called in Dutch: vlas. Example: http://www.zeelandnet.nl/foto/assets/foto/extra_large/15/115566.jpg
They grow it my home town and i love it because of this: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2425/3732941902_f7d85fb3dc_b.jpg I absolutely fell in love with this colour. Every year i just go on a walk to enjoy this.. fields and fields of this green.. i love it.
The dictionary translates Vlas as Flax.
Just a guess here, but because of the apparent altitude (= short growing season) and the steep slope, it’s likely to be grass/pasture cut for hay.
Stunning!
I love seeing these posts from you.
