      I agree. What startled me, and not in a good way, was just how many phones went off with the message. Obviously very few people in that theatre had turned off their phones, or even turned on the Do Not Disturb setting.

      But what really startled me is the fact that mobile use while driving has now surpassed both drunk driving and speeding as the leading cause of crash deaths (and the leading cause of crashes, period).

    Well, the cinema was in Hong Kong – maybe rules for phones in theaters are different there?
