I know, it’s getting to be a habit to post them on Tuesdays.

At any rate, have you seen the latest Mars image sent back by Curiosity? Check out this amazing rock formation:

Elephant Rock

Just kidding, that’s not Mars. It’s the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, and this formation is called Elephant Rock.

But doesn’t it look like the perfect book cover for a science fiction novel?

    Do you see the man riding on the elephant and the dog with one leg draped over the elephants head? Half the fun of looking at nature’s sculptures is seeing different images in each one. There are several western states with an enormous amount of rock formations. Most are in state and national parks and monuments. The variety of forms, shapes, colors, shadows and the clear skies attract photographers and astronomers from all over the world. Many have been used for movie sites.
