“Gravity” review: short version

Gostámos imenso!

We really, really loved it. I was blown away. In fact I can’t remember the last time I was so utterly sucked into a film. The best illustration I can think of is that we brought a big chocolate bar in with us, and it wasn’t until half an hour after the film ended that I even remembered we had it. Usually, I’m into the chocolate before the opening credits are finished.

I’m working on a longer, spoiler-fllled review for Tuesday, but in the meantime, I’ll just say that if you’re anywhere near an IMAX theatre and you enjoy science fiction or space films, you owe it to yourself to go to this one. The 3D is utterly fantastic and puts you right in the middle of everything without getting in the way, and the giant screen is simply a must.

I want to see it again. Too bad it’s so expensive for us to go to Lisboa, or we’d be back in the theatre next Saturday.

About Fletcher DeLancey

Socialist heathen and Mac-using author of the Chronicles of Alsea, who enjoys pondering science, politics, well-honed satire (though sarcastic humor can work, too) and all things geeky.

I loved the movie, too bad the nearest IMAX is 350 km away, I recomend for you to see Europa Report, its an independent scifi movie about a mission to Europa, it’s well made and a nice surprise
