Say “Cheese” — for real this time!

Remember when I posted about Cassini taking humanity’s biggest selfie last month? And it turned out that I had flunked Reading Comprehension 101 and it was actually this month?

Well, guess what? It’s today!

We Europe-dwellers will be in darkness when Cassini points its camera our way, but folks back in Oregon (and most of North America) will be brightly lit and ready to smile. So at some point from 2:27 to 2:42 p.m. Pacific Daylight time, you should take a moment to go outside, look up, and think about the fact that you’re being photographed from a billion miles away.

(For more information, check out the Ciclops page. There will be parties!)

UPDATE: Oh look, there’s a video about it — narrated by Morgan Freeman! Too cool.
