Porto laundry

We’re home! — and happily looking forward to sleeping in our own beds tonight. It’s funny, as a child I remember my parents making “Oh god what a relief” comments about getting to sleep in their own bed after a vacation, and I used to wonder what the big deal was. I mean, a bed was a bed, right? And sometimes a sofa was a bed, too. Or even a floor and a sleeping bag.

Yes, well, those days are long gone. I sound just like them now.

At any rate, before I get back to unpacking, here’s my favorite photo from my trip to the top of the Torre dos Clérigos in Porto:

There was something about this view that just begged for a tilt shift treatment.

It looks like it’s a photo of a miniaturize town!

Do you want to make us believe that you climbed to the top of Torre dos Clérigos in Porto after your Pantagruelian Feast at Regaleira? Ha, no way. You took this photo the other day in that all-kind-of-weird-stuff museum, toy gallery, scale models, Portuguese views (second floor, end of the corridor)

So cool! It’s like a Portuguese intro to Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.
