Wallpaper Monday

In honor of my trip back to Oregon (starting this week!), here’s one of my favorite lighthouses on the Oregon coast: Heceta Head. I used to live about a half hour’s drive north of this, and frequently hiked the trail that winds through the forest to the base of the lighthouse. Across the cove is a viewpoint where one can pull off Highway 101 and admire the peerless view…and I’m looking forward to doing just that.

    Wow! Great view!
Lucky you to go there soon. 😀
Safe and easy journey back home. 🙂

A nice place to go, with plenty of hiking trails all around, too:

We were just there a few days ago. The lighthouse is all swathed in scaffolding and tarps while undergoing renovation. But otherwise the view is still fantastic. 😉

Now that looks familiar! Safe travels…

How could you bear to leave it! (I suspect climate might have to do with?) Enjoy your trip.

Beautiful, and very appropriate in view of your imminent trip. No doubt, we (faithful readers) are going to suffer a little withdrawal syndrome because you have spoiled us rotten. 🙂
So, Temporary Oregon Desexpat, enjoy and ¡Buen viaje!

Thank you for the well wishes, everyone. Packing is proceeding, and I’m getting excited! Three years is a long time to miss the other half of one’s heart.
