Millau viaduct

Looks like fantasy art, doesn’t it? But it’s real: this is the Millau Viaduct in southern France. As the photographer notes:

It is the current record holder for tallest bridge by structural height (343 meters/1125 feet). When you look at the cars you get a feeling of how big this viaduct actually is. I shot this picture on the way back home from vacation. Had to make a massive detour to see it, but was totally worth it.

I’d say so.

Et à environ 100 kilomètres de Millau,
    Le pont du Gard,
plus haut pont-aqueduc connu du monde romain (Highest bridge-aqueduct from the Roman world(1st century))

And 100 more kilometers eastward, les Gorges du Verdon… 🙂
    Welcome to France 🙂
