Wallpaper Monday

Take a close look. On July 8, if there are no delays, Atlantis will launch for the final time. Her flight will close out not just her own history-making career, but that of the entire US space shuttle program.

Atlantis, may your last flight be flawless, and may you return to a long second career at the Kennedy Space Center. A museum doesn’t compare to space, but you and your fellow shuttles — Discovery, Endeavor and Enterprise — will inspire thousands of kids and adults to reach for the stars.

Someday, I hope to see you.
