Here’s something from a little closer to my old home: the view from Cascade Pass in Washington’s North Cascades National Park. This is five photos stitched together, and the itty bitty version here doesn’t begin to do it justice. Click on the image to biggify, and look over to the right side to see a trail. According to the Washington Trail Association, the 7-mile (11.25 km) roundtrip hike is suitable for kids, though I’m thinking they’d better be fairly energetic kids.
I miss wilderness like this. Though I must admit, the jasmine blooming on my veranda right now is a very nice alternative.
