“Paperman” was a sweet, romantic love story, but “Head Over Heels” — another Oscar-nominated short film — is about a different kind of love. It features two people who are long past their early days of passion, and have now fallen into a routine in which they might as well live in separate worlds.
The metaphor is wonderful, and very creative. I also appreciated the realistic (within the bounds of the metaphor) ending, which is about compromise and reaching out, rather than happily ever afters. It is a happy ending in its own way, and very touching.
Full screen and HD if you can.

Lovely. Just lovely.
