An ad works with me when it’s clever and assumes that I actually have brains, too. LG gets a big thumbs up for this one — I want to buy their product just as a thank you for making me laugh.
The best part, though, are all the YouTube commenters who think it’s real.

Sometimes the best view is from the outside, and an American expatriate living in Portugal is, in many ways, outside of both nations. The views can be spectacular. I'm also a science nerd, Mac dweeb, and grammar geek, so the posts in this blog tend to be eclectic.

I think they assumed people have enough brains to laugh at their obvious attempt at taking them for brainless morons(reading many of the comments (big sigh), some seem to miss the point, though …)

curiously enough, a few years back i worked at a Media Markt store, and the manager told me of a theft in a store he had worked once (not sure if it was in a Media Markt as well) where two guys with long coats came into the store, and stole an LCD by basically carrying it out the door, just under the coats, and somehow managed to not get noticed
