Fire and ice

Striking footage of the volcano currently erupting in Iceland:

The haunting music is a perfect accompaniment.

Via Slog. I don’t know how that group finds these things — when they first posted it, the video had all of 500 views and no comments.

Stunning video. I have been following its evolution on the TV news all week. It is impressive. When it begun, it looked so small (http://www.rtve.es/mediateca/videos/20100321/entra-erupcion-volcan-islandia/725030.shtml)

It’s actually quite small for Iceland. Our eruptions have a tendency to effect other countries as well, in Europe mostly. There is a large volcano sitting right next to this crack and history tells us if the little one blows, the big one follows. It’s just a matter of time. I like living in Iceland, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, flooding, icebergs and financial crashes. No reason to get bored ;)

I find it totally amazing that,if.the big one blows there will apparently be Global consequences and it’s not in the news!!! I think the world is getting ready for 2012…exciting isn’t a big enough word for it…is anyone else getting ready for the consequences of 2012?
